Capital Campaign

Christ Church parishioners completed a Capital Campaign in honor of the 175th year of the founding of the parish in December, 2002. Our Campaign chairs were Phyllis and Woody Woodbridge. Our superb consultant was Maryann Doyle who helped the parish in this regard 17 years ago. The funds have not been largely spent on our capital needs. In the past four years we redesigned and refurbished the roof areas around the Library. The exterior of the Rectory was completely painted along with 35 replacement windows in summer of 2003. Our new septic system and parking lot were completed in June, 2004. Five of our Tiffany Stained Glass windows have had their wood frames filled, cleaned and painted with new outside protective glazing installed. New electrical wiring was installed in several parts of the church and the large chandelier lights were taken down, cleaned and re-installed. A new roof was put on the office building and new landscaping was planted in the front of the parish hall in 2005. That same year we completed a re-design and construction of a new entrance way to the same building. New carpets and tiling was installed inside the parish hall, church school wing, nursery and office spaces. The Church School area was painted, every room.We also had the outside of the office building completely coverd with vinyl/ aluminum siding and new windows were installed. The outside of the church itself was repointed summer of 2006. The outside of the parish house/Great Hall was refurbished and painted.Our stained glass conservator, Robin Neely, took out the "Angels Window"  in 2007 and restored it at her studio near Portland, Maine. It was returned during Holy Week of 2009 (restored window photo below). We continue to encourage gifts to the Stained Glass Fund.
