Bradley Memorial Baptismal Font & Cover
Creator Louis C Tiffany Date 1908 Location Rear sanctuary Helen Bradley commissioned this font in memory of her husband, George Lathrop Bradley (1846-1906) and her daughter, Emma Pendleton Bradley (1879-1907). She had previous given a font in memory of her mother. George Bradley made his fortune working with Bell at ATT. Their daughter Emma contracted encephalitis when she was seven and suffered from the effects until her death. After Mrs. Bradley’s death their estate in Providence became the Bradley Hospital, one of the first psychiatric hospitals for children in the United States. |

Jesus Walking on the Water
Creator Wm. McPherson of Boston Date circa 1882 Location North wall by entry McPherson Co. produced this window for the consecration of the church in 1883. The McPherson company created stained glass and wall decoration for the ‘new’ Connecticut State Capital building in Hartford completed in 1879. Notice the painted faces and other details in this window. The window honors Amos Maine Vinton, elder brother of Alexander Hamilton Vinton, and was given by Mrs. A. M. Vinton of Providence. |
St Michael in Battle Armor
Creator Louis C Tiffany Date circa 1882 Location North wall center Tiffany created this window and five others for the consecration of the church in 1883. Though unsigned, these windows were mentioned in an article in The Churchman, p. 485 (5 May 1883). There is no painted used in this window. All details are made with leading and glass. Notice the ripple glass in the armor, the streaky glass of the ground and sky, and the jewels in the border. This window honors John Roberts Vinton who was killed at the siege of Vera Cruz in April, 1846. |
Wise Maiden
from the Parable of the Wise & Foolish Virgins Creator Louis C Tiffany Date circa 1882 Location North wall by choir stalls Tiffany created this window and five others for the consecration of the church in 1883. Though unsigned, these windows were mentioned in an article in The Churchman, p. 485 (5 May 1883). Some paint is used to show the light of the lamp but the fingers and toe details are done with wire overlays. Notice the border jewels and the unusually thick drapery glass. This window was featured in book Louis C. Tiffany and the Art of Devotion by the Museum of Biblical Art, New York, 2012. This window honors Mary Atwell Vinton, mother of Alexander H. Vinton, and was given by all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 
Three Angels/ Parable of the Talents
Creator Louis C Tiffany Date circa 1882 Location South wall Tiffany created this window and five others for the consecration of the church in 1883. Though unsigned, these windows were mentioned in an article in The Churchman, p. 485 (5 May 1883). This window was repaired in the late 90s due to devitrification of the glass and piece falling out. Some glass jewels were recreated at that time. Note the use of streaky glass, ripple glass, and the angels’ robes of drapery glass. This window honors Randolph Marshall Clark and was given by his wife, Mary Vinton Clark. |

Though unsigned, these windows were mentioned in an article in The Churchman, p. 485 (5 May 1883). There is no paint used in this window. All details are made with leading and glass. Notice the glass jewels/nuggets and the use of ripple glass. This window was given by Eleanor Vinton and Mary Vinton Clark in honor of their maternal grandparents, Ebenezer Thompson and his wife Ruth Otis. 
Jeweled Cross

Madonna and Child
Creator Heaton, Butler & Bayne Date after 1885 Location North wall, west end This window was installed a few years after the consecration of the church. Heaton, Butler & Bayne were a leading stained glass firm in London, England, and one of their windows is in Westminster Abbey. They were leaders in the stained glass revival movement of the mid 19th century. Notice the intricate painted details and border of this window, both typical of their windows. This window honors Frances Viall Chapin, a member of the church. |

Crowninshield created these five windows for the consecration of the church in 1883 while he was teaching at the Museum School in Boston. These windows are mentioned in the book Frederic Crowninshield: a Renaissance Man in the Gilded Age, by Gertrude Wilmers and Julia Sloan, Boston, 2010. Images used for the creation of these windows are in the collection of the Boston Public Library and the Special Collections at Harvard University. Notice the glass with double plating and the painted details in the face, hands, and feet, as well as the bright blue background and red wings of the angels. These windows were given in honor of Dr. Alexander H. Vinton and were given by Mrs. Robert C. Winthrop and her daughter, Miss Adele G. Thayer, of Boston.
